Ina Garten is well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award-winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina began working at the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy as well as the budget. While she found it interesting initially, she eventually lost her interest in it and bought a tiny specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. After more than 18 years of making her store a huge success, she decided to sell it and started writing her first book. The other cookbooks came out, as magazines too. Meanwhile, her Food Network television show too began its run and was a huge success. In addition, she sells a variety of items ranging from cooking materials to equipment and storage containers. Ina did not go to a cooking academy and has never been employed in restaurants. She's completely self-taught. She is known as a simple cook and for her entertaining cooking style. Some of her best known recipes are Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
