Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal advocate and a writer, who has won numerous Awards. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). She grew up in an artist family from New York and wanted to explore a career in the arts. Her first job was as a photo assistant. She then moved on to modeling and acting. Her first two movies she received recognition and was awarded her the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international smash, and earned her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years she had been voted as the most popular female box-office starter in the world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were made in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other films she has appeared in include The Getaway Convoy Players as well as the TV miniseries The Winds of War. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
